Cold Feet Star Has Warm Heart For Picturehouse

An intimate group of movers, shakers and music lovers were invited to an exclusive party at the Capitol Bar last night. Cold Feet star James Nesbitt even brought a camera crew along to catch his idols.

"I've known them about four years," he said. "We met on a chat show and I've been following them ever since. They're just brilliant, I love them."

The object of his admiration? Irish band Picturehouse.

The lucky invitees were treated to an exclusive live set to launch the band's new single "She", taken from their album due out in August, "Windows to the Soul". DJ Tony Fenton presided over the mike untile lead singer Dave Browne took over.

Elton John is a major fan. He wrote them a note saying he had bought 100 copies of their album "Karmarama" to give to his friends.

"Elton asked me to drum with him at the Meteor awards the other week," said John Boyle. "He's really into the music which is a great confidence booster for us."

Dublin-based event manager Dara Conlon is another dedicated fan, "I always try and catch their gigs," she said.

With all this adulation, the Picturehouse boys still have their feet on the ground.

"The reason we've lasted and are still having such a good time is simply because we enjoy playing together," said the incredibly handsome Geoff Woods on keyboard.

Also at the Capitol Bar were meat musketeer David Doane, U Magazine's most eligible bachelor, Richie Pierson, and jockey Jason Titley.
